Sugary Cereal Superpowers

Even though they didn’t usually have sweet snacks around his house, Andy had the super sweet cereal choices like: Count Chocula, Captain Crunch, Quisp, Quake, and Lucky Charms. Somehow his parents hadn’t figured out their ingredients slowly kill you. Lol.If you look at the first 6 ingredients of Count Chocula, 4 of them are sweeteners: whole grains, sugar, corn meal, corn syrup, cocoa, and marshmallows.

At Greg’s house, he didn’t eat that cereal because it amplified his tremor. So, his mom gave him grapefruit halves…with sugar sprinkled on them. Which explains why his second-grade teacher sent a note home saying, “I think Greg is afraid of me. Every time I walk past to check his work, he shakes.”

His mom said, it’s not you. He shakes all the time. The next think I knew I was hauled into an interrogation room and questioned about parental abuse.  Does mowing the lawn count? No? How about sugar on fruit?

If I ate any of that breakfast cereal, I could jackhammer bad concrete out of every neighbor’s bad driveway. Lol I could fell a 300-year-old oak tree with a serrated knife.
